Welcome to TESLAW

Message from the Chair...

Dear Entertainment and Sports Law Section Member:

I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the 2011/2012 bar year as members of the Entertainment and Sports Law Section of the State Bar of Texas (TESLAW). The newly-elected officers and council members are looking forward to another great year and feel privileged to serve the Section and the interests of those who practice entertainment and sports law in our great state. We also invite you to join us at upcoming council meetings and to become involved in our activities to keep Texas Lawyers at the forefront of entertainment and sports law practice.

There are excellent opportunities to serve and get involved with committees and planning the future of the section. Some of the areas in which you can serve are legislative (state & federal), merchandising, website, social networking, activity planning, marketing and more. We hope you will decide to volunteer for something in which you are interested.Yes, there is a commitment; but we believe you will find it fun and rewarding!

The next meeting of the Council of the Entertainment & Sports Law Section of the State Bar of Texas (TESLAW) will be held during South by Southwest in Austin in March 2012.

I hope to see you at a council meeting soon.

Sincerely,

Mitzi Brown

Chair, TESLAW
